Ride - A free Community Cycling Programme

A new free community cycling initiative is set to bring more people onto two wheels as Ride Liverpool, organised by Hype Urban Bikes, launches along the city’s iconic waterfront. Starting Saturday 18 April 2026, the programme will run every Saturday from 1pm to 4pm, offering guided rides between Albert Dock and Otterspool Promenade

The scheme is open to all abilities and ages, providing free bike hire for adults and children, as well as balance bikes for younger riders. Participants can also access learn-to-ride coaching, guided waterfront rides and complimentary Dr Bike health checks, designed to encourage safe and confident cycling across the city.

Ride Liverpool aims to improve wellbeing, boost fitness and make cycling more accessible, with routes highlighting some of Liverpool’s most scenic locations. The link to the registration form can be found here: Ride Liverpool - Hype Urban Bikes
