Brownlow Health Awards Community Support Grants to Strengthen Local Wellbeing and Reduce Health Inequalities Across Liverpool

Brownlow Health is proud to announce the allocation of its 2026 Community Support Grants, awarded to seven local organisations dedicated to improving health, wellbeing and social connection across Liverpool.

The grants, ranging from £500 to £3,000, were established to strengthen partnerships with community, voluntary, social impact and VCSE organisations who play a vital role in supporting Brownlow Health’s diverse patient population. Rooted in priorities identified by patients and local residents, the programme focuses on prevention, holistic wellbeing, mental health, family resilience, community cohesion and tackling health inequalities.

In 2025, Brownlow Health hosted its Family Fun Day, where patients and community members were invited to share what support they wanted to see more of in their neighbourhoods. People told us they wanted improved access to wellbeing activities, greater support for families, more mental health services, and stronger connections for groups experiencing disadvantage or isolation. These community voices directly shaped this year’s grant programme and the organisations selected reflect the priorities expressed by the people we serve.

This year’s applications showcased high-quality initiatives supporting refugees and migrants, women experiencing multiple disadvantage, families living in deprivation, victims of hate crime, individuals facing isolation or mental health challenges, and new mothers in crisis.

Tina Atkins, Management Partner at Brownlow Health, said: “Our mission is to provide excellent, compassionate care for a socially diverse population, and we know this is only possible when we work hand in hand with our communities. These organisations are doing exceptional work, meeting people where they are, and providing the kind of relational, preventative support that changes lives.”

Looking Ahead

Brownlow Health looks forward to working closely with its funded partners over the coming year and sharing updates on the impact of these projects across Liverpool.
